CPI-216 Spring Collection
 
NOTE: Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  BC means Basecoat; DB means drybrush: HL means Highlight; WB means Wipe back NOTE: Materials needed to finish a piece are highlighted in bold print the first time they are used. To Dilute colors add one part of water to one part of color.
All Glazed Pieces: Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.  When finished glazing & painting properly fire to shelf cone 06.
For Money Pots: Attach pieces to corks with silicone.

BC with 3 coats of a Series 2000 Glaze of your choice.  (We used S-2564 Sun Yellow) Decorate with Stroke & Coat glazes as desired. (We used SC-43 Lettuce Alone, SC-44 Fountain of Youth, SC-17 Cheeky Pink, SC-30 Blue Dawn, & SC-15 Tuxedo.)
 
3554 Carrot Plate 11.5” L.
Apply 3 coats SP-223 Speckled Jack-O-Lantern to carrot. Apply 3 coats SP-226 Speckled Green Thumb to leaves. Float watered down SC-22 Carrot Top to  crevices in carrot.  Float watered down SC-8 Just froggy to crevices in leaves. Dip in dipping glaze of you r choice and fire to cone 06.

BC flower & sash #907 Carmel, leaves #918 Forest Green. Antique entire piece diluted #971 Gold. DB heavily wings & flowers #901 Bone, DB #900 White. DB heavily Sash #907 Carmel, DB #901 Bone. DB heavily Cloud #900 White. DB Flesh #909 Gentle Flesh HL Cheeks #914 Blush. DB hair #907 Carmel, HL #931 Medium Yellow. DB heavily bottom skirt #936 Raspberry Sherbet, HL #942 Raspberry Light.  DB leaves #918 Forest Green. Mix 2 part #972 Silver & 1 part #713 Primrose & apply to upper dress & outer skirt.  Apply #971 Gold to dress trim. Float diluted #952 Crimson into flower center, DB flower stamen #907 Carmel. Paint eyes #900 White, Iris #923 Intense Blue, pupil & lashes #902 Black. Paint lips #936 Raspberry Sherbet.

Pot: Apply 2 coats PC-501 Terracotta to entire pot. Apply AC-302 Wax Resist to rim of pot. Apply 3 coats of S-2587 Big Blue Sky to pot. (except on stripes). Apply 2 coat S-2564 Sun Yellow to stripes. Apply 2 coats S-2161 Golden Oak to stripes. Dab PC-602 White Cascade on pot only.  Apply 3 coats S-2566 Almond to name plate. Apply 3 coats S-2118 Cocoa Bean to rim of name plate. Paint letters with SC-16 Tuxedo.  Bear: BC Entire Bear 902 Black.  WB bear 905 Rich Brown.  DB belly, face and pads 906 Cocoa Brown, HL 939 Warm Beige blush cheeks and pads 942 Raspberry Light.  WB hive 954 Medium Brown, DB 907 Carmel. Paint eyes 900 White, iris, nose, mouthline and lashes 902 Black.

BC #750 Bisque Primer. Antique #717 Mushroom, WB with #763 Antique Media. Wipe Cookie, lollipop & stick back to white. Apply #704 Taupe to rock, WB rouge rock with #711 Sapphire, #707 Evergreen & #713 Primrose. Blend with #763 Antique Media. Lollipop: Apply #715 Burgundy to red stripes, PB, HL #705 Ruby. Apply #707 Evergreen to green stripes, PB, HL mixture of #707 Evergreen & #710 Sunshine. Apply #709 Topaz to yellow stripes, PB, HL #710 Sunshine. Apply #700 White to white stripes & stick. Cookie: Apply #704 Taupe, PB, HL mixture #709 Topaz & #700 White. Paint M & M’s #711 Sapphire, #707 Evergreen, #705 Ruby & #706 Tangerine. Paint splotches on handprint with #923 Intense Blue. Paint Letters #902 Black & #952 Crimson. Spray with #761 Perfect Matte Spray.
 
3885 Plain Pot  4” t
Apply two coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta using CB-618 soft fan. Apply wax resist to the rim and base of pot. Apply three coats of S-2566 Almond to body of pot. Thin SC-34 Down To Earth like water and spray on pot to distress. Splatter pot randomly with thinned SC 52 Toadily Green. Draw on design. For leaves, load CB-404 pointed round with SC-52 Toad-ily Green and tip in SC-63 Popeye’s Favorite, stroke in leaves, applying two coats. For olives, use same brush and load in SC-15 Tuxedo and tip brush with SC-71 Purple-licious, applying one coat. Outline leaves and stems and paint oval rim and letters with SC-15 Tuxedo using liner.

Pot: Apply 2 coats PC-501 Terracotta to entire pot. Apply AC-302 Wax Resist to rim of pot. Apply 2 coats of S-2159 Sun Yellow & S-2591 New Leaf in leave-like shapes on pot. Go over leaf shapes with S-2111 Ivy Green. Dab PC-602 White Cascade on pot only. Apply 3 coats S-2566 Almond to name plate. Apply 3 coats S-2143 Rustic Orange to rim of name plate. Paint letters with SC-16 Tuxedo.  Hunter: BC entire hunter #902 Black except hat. BC Hat #916 Sunset Orange. WB Flesh #909 Gentle Flesh, Blush #913 Blush. WB hair #905 Rich Brown. Paint Facial hair diluted #906 Cocoa Brown. WB camouflage #918 Forest Green, DB random areas with 920 Moss Green, #905 Rich Brown and #907 Carmel.  WB gloves 907 Carmel. WB shoes and rifle #905 Rich Brown DB #906 Cocoa Brown.  Apply #947 Burnt Brown in streaks on rifle butt. WB turtle neck 918 Forest Green.  Apply #902 Black to soles, belt, color. Apply #972 Silver to buttons and buckle. Mix 1 part #701 Black with 1 part Silver and apply to rifle barrel. DB hat #917 Pumpkin and float diluted #952 Crimson into seams.  Paint eyes #900 White, iris #925 Medium Blues, pupil, eyebrow and lashes #902 Black, lips, #941 Light Terra.

Pot: Apply 3 coats S-2590 Intense Yellow to pot. Spray pot with watered down SC-26 Green Thumb. Apply 3 coats S-2200 Cloud White to name plate. Apply 3 coats SC-23 Jack-O-Lantern to rim of name plate. Apply SC-74 Tamale to ladybug & letters. Apply SC-77 Glo-Worm & SC-78 Lime Light  to caterpillar. Paint trim work & details SC-15 Tuxedo. Frog: Apply 3 coats SC-77 Glo-Worm. Float watered down SC-26 Green Thumb to deep areas. Paint spots & irises SC-75 Orange-A-Peel. Paint heart SC-69 Princess Pink. Paint Pupils, lashes & detail lines SC-15 Tuxedo.

3891 Church (2) 5.5” t
Antique pot and church by applying SC-12 Moody Blue and wiping back well with wet sponge.  Clean sponge often to wipe white areas back completely.  Leave Moody Blue in letters.  Apply SC-31 The Blues to pot rims, church roof and eaves. Dip both pot and church in dipping glaze.  Allow to dry completely and fire to cone 06. Apply fired white gold to cross and fire according to manufacturers written instructions.

Leprechaun: BC entire piece #902 Black.  WB flesh #909 Gentle Flesh, blush #913 Blush. WB beard and hair #947 Burnt Brown, DB #951 Navajo. WB coat & hat #918 Forest Green, DB #919 Clover Green. WB pants, clover and lapel #920 Moss Green, DB #921 Pea Pod. WB socks, shirt hat band and bow #900 White. WB stump #905 Rich Brown, DB #906 Cocoa Brown, HL wood #908 Tawny Beige.  Paint shoes #902 Black. Paint buckles and pipe #971 Gold.  Paint #918 Forest Green stripes on hat band and stitches on lapel. Paint #920 Moss Green stitches on cuff. Paint eyes #900 White, iris #919 Clover Green, pupil and lashes #902 Black. Paint lips #941 Light Terra. Apply #970 Glossy Sealer to shoes.   Pot:  Antique oval and clover with SC-26 Green Thumb by apply the glaze and wiping back with wet sponge. Leave Green Thumb in the letters.  Apply 3 coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to oval rim. Apply SC-7 Leapin Lizard to Clover. Apply 3 coats EL-119 Burnished Steel to pot. Apply clear glaze to oval , oval rim and clover.  Make sure not to get the clear glaze over the Burnished Steel.  Allow to dry completely and fire to cone 06.

BC with 3 coats of a Series 2000 Glaze of your choice. Decorate with Stroke & Coat glazes as desired. Or BC with a Series 2000 Glaze. Then paint designs with  wax resist. Then apply thick coats of desired Stroke & Coats to each area & dry quickly with a hair dryer (which will cause small cracks that will get bigger when fired) When finished. Fire to an 06 cone.
