NOTE:  BC means Basecoat; DB means drybrush: HL means Highlight; WB means wipe back using #760 Antique Media; PB means Pat Back with soft cloth. 
Spray means spray with #761 Perfect Matte Spray.  NOTE: Always refer to picture for placement of colors.  NOTE: Materials needed to finish a piece are highlighted in bold print the first time they are used.
Note: all glazed pieces Fire bisque to witness cone 04.
 
3320 Snow Shade & 3278 Rock base Instruction on flyer CPI-179
 
3919, 3920, 3198, 3174, 3175 Football Frosty
Basecoat snow parts, nose, gloves, padding inside helmet and buttons 750 Bisque Primer. Basecoat helmet 910 Scarlet red. Basecoat scarf and glove cuffs 902 Black. Basecoat Football 951 Navajo. Antique snow parts with 704 Taupe and wipe back with 763 Antique Media. Blush Cheeks with mix of 713 Primrose, 709 Topaz and 700 White. Paint Nose with 706 Tangerine and pat back lightly. Paint Eyes 900 White. Paint irises 923 Intense Blue. Paint pupil and lash line 902 Black. Paint gloves and buttons with 701 Black and pat back lightly. Wetbrush scarf with 923 Intense Blue and lightly drybrush with 925 Medium Blue in same brush. Wetbrush scarf fringe 900 White and alternating strands  910 Scarlet Red. Wetbrush glove cuff 923 Intense Blue and alternating ribs 910 Scarlet Red. Paint seam on helmet 923 Intense Blue. Paint face mask 902 Black. Apply decorative elements such as wording in team colors. Antique football with 740 Walnut. Pat back with 763 Antique Media. Paint stripes and laces of football with 900 White. Spray body and face with 761 Perfect Matte. Sprinkle 977 Ultra Glitz onto snow areas while spray is wet. Apply several coats of 970 Glossy Sealer to all helmet and face mask. 
 
3912 Winter Welcome Artist:  Elaine Pillon
Apply #750 Bisque Primer as smooth as possible to rock & snow areas. Antique  #740 Walnut. Wipe back with 763 Antique Media. Shadow in crevices of rock with #701 Black. Wipe snowballs & flakes back with water damp paper towel. Dry brush snowballs & flakes with #925 Med. Blue. HL with #946 Whisper Blue & #900 White. Paint hat, scarf, mittens & earmuffs with #902 Black.  Wet brush mittens #924 Teal Blue. Dry brush scarf #923 Intense Blue, and in alternate stripes drybrush #928 Sweet Violet, & #946 Whisper Blue. Dry brush ear muffs #928 Sweet Violet  Mix #972 Silver #902 Black & a few drops of water, brush on hat. Paint band on hat #928 Sweet Violet lines #900 White #924 Teal, dots #900 White. Float in crevices & around snowballs thinned mixed #925 Med. Blue & #923 Intense Blue. Paint nose #916 Sunset Orange. Blush cheeks lightly with mixed #913 Blush, #900 White. Outline mouth #902 Black. Eyes – Iris mix #925 Med. Blue & #923 Intense Blue Pupil & Lashes #902 Black HL dot #901 Bone seal with #761 Perfect Matte Spray. Make sure that the letter areas are well sealed. Fill in letters with #902 Black. Apply #976 Winter Snow & #977 Ultra Glitz to random areas.
 
3918 Let It Snow Slab
Basecoat entire piece 750 Bisque Primer. Antique mixture of 710 Sapphire and 717 Mushroom. Wipe back with 763 Antique Media. Apply mixture of 713 Primrose and 710 Sapphire to lower portion of sky and blend up into the upper sky with soft paper towel. Pat back to desired intensity with 763 Antique Media. With water in paper towel wipe back snowman and snow. Apply a mixture of 713 Primrose and 700 white to cheeks. Apply 706 Tangerine to nose. Paint buttons, eyes, mouth line and hat 902 Black. Apply 710 Sapphire to scarf and hat holly and lightly pat back. Paint scarf stripes and hat band 942 Raspberry Light. Float 710 Sapphire around snowman and body crevices if necessary. Apply mixture of 708 Emerald and 710 Sapphire to middle tree. Pat back with towel. Apply mixture of 707 Evergreen and 710 Sapphire to front and back tree. Pat back with towel. Spray entire piece with 761 Perfect Matte Spray.  Paint lettering 923 Intense Blue. Apply 900 White to falling snow and random snow areas on trees and on ground.  Sprinkle 977 Ultra Glitz onto snow areas before dry.  
 
3914 Pottery Holy Family
Apply 3 coats of 50/50 mixture PC-501 Terracotta & PC-502 Speckled Buff. Apply OS1 Mirror Black to eyes. Line creases in hair with 0S132 Chestnut Brown & OS9 Auburn. Apply OS3 Lip Red to lips. Apply Wax Resist to face, hands & hair. To make lines at hems as desired,  paint a line of Wax resist. Natural Family: Apply 2 coats S-2566 Almond to all areas. Line creases & spots in clothing with OS-132 Chestnut Brown. Apply 2 coats S-2107 Dry champagne to Mary’s coat. Apply 2 coats S-2161 Golden Oak to Joseph’s coat. Apply one more coat S-2566 Almond to baby’s blanket. Blue Family: Apply 3 coats S-2565 Cloud White with to tunic & headscarves. Apply 2 coats S-2587 Big Blue Sky to robes & headband.  Paint trim design in  robes & headband OS29 Delft Blue. Apply 2 coats S-2115 Tahiti Blue to Mary’s robe. Apply 2  coats S-2151 Blue Lagoon to Joseph’s Coat. Both: Dab PC-602 White Cascade to  coats & tunics. Fire to cone 06.
 
3915 Winter Pottery Wreath
Apply 2 coats 50/50 mixture of PC-503 Khaki & PC-502 Speckled Buff to all of wreath. Apply one more coat to faces. Apply one coat PC-501 Terracotta to twigs & handles. Apply PC-501 Terracotta & PC-502 Speckled Buff to pinecones. Line creases with OS8 Briarwood.  Apply one coat S-2562 Canton Jade to leaves, then when dry 2 coats of S-2158 Green Sapphire. Apply 3 coats 50/50 mixture of S-2121 Shiny Black & S-2120 Double Fudge to hat. Apply 2 coats S-2 Bright Red to berries, earmuffs, center scarf & left glove, then when dry, apply 2 coats S-2144 Clarret. Apply 2 coats S-2587 Big Sky Blue to scarves & center cap, then when dry apply 2 coats S-2115 Tahiti Blue. Apply 2 coats S-2564 Sun yellow to left cap, fringes & broom, then when dry apply 2 coats S-2107 Dry Champagne. Apply 2 coats S-2566 Almond to fluff & hat bands. Apply S-2162 Saddle Tan to left cap trim. Apply S-2127 Smoked Oyster to center cap fluff. Apply 3 coats S-2565 Cloud White to all letters. Dab PC-602 White Cascade to scarves, hats & Mittens. Fire to cone 06.
 
3777 Small Pottery Snowman
Apply 2 coats 50/50 mixture of PC-503 Khaki & PC-502 Speckled Buff. Dry. Apply OS1 Mirror Black to eyes. Apply Wax Resist to face & hands. Apply watered down OS8 Briar Wood to shovel, carrot, cuffs, scarves, hat band & balls. Apply watered down OS4 Chinese Blue to edge of wax resist. Cover these areas with 2 coats of S-2101 Natural Clear. Apply 3 coats S-2566 Almond to rest of snowman. Dry. Apply 2 coats PC-601 Clear Cascade to almond coated areas. Fire to witness cone 06.
 
3859 Sm Pottery Santa
Apply 3 coats of 50/50 mixture PC-501 Terracotta & PC-502 Speckled Buff. Let dry between coats. Apply AC-302 Wax Resist to faces, hands, buttons & edges of star cut-outs. To coat & top of hat apply 3 coats EL-109 Blue Ridge.  To fur apply 2 coats S-2566 Almond & 1 coat EL-101 Oyster Shell. To beard apply 3 coats S-2566 Almond. To lantern apply EL-119 Burnished Steel. Dab PC-602 White Cascade to everything except wax-resist areas, lantern & beard.  Apply 1 coat S-2101 Natural Clear to everything except wax-resist areas & lantern. Fire to cone 06.
