- Note:
Materials needed to finish a piece are highlighted in bold print the first
time they are used.
- All
Pieces: Begin
with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe
bisque to remove any dust. When
finished glazing & painting properly fire to shelf cone 06.
- Canisters
& Decanters:
Pour SC-210
Roll-A-Coat into the canister and lid and roll around in a continuous
motion until the inside is covered. Pour the excess out and turn the
piece upside down to dry. Leave in this position until glaze has lost
the shiny look. Wipe off excess glaze on the outside of piece with moist
sponge. Will also need a spray bottle, plastic wrap, pencil & mylar
carbon.

- Using
the CB-618 soft fan, apply two
coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta Pottery
Coat to canister and lid. Using scrunched up plastic
wrap, apply a little AC-302 Wax
Resist to handles, rim, base and lid.
Using the CB-618 soft fan, apply three coats of S-2566 Almond to canister and lid. Thin SC-34 Down To Earth like water and place in a small spray bottle.
Spritz onto canister while the third coat is still wet. For an
interesting effect, spray water over some of the spritzed color to make it
run.
Using
a pencil and Mylar carbon, trace or draw on pattern.
Using
the CB-604 soft fan, apply two
coats thinned SC-27 Sour Apple
and SC-62 Spunky Punkin to the
background. Tablecloth is two thinned coats of SC-42
Butter Me Up and SC-62 Spunky Punkin applied with the soft fan.
Using
the CB-406 pointed round, apply
two coats of SC-13 Grapel to top
and bottom bands of vase. Center detail is two coats of SC-31 The Blues and SC-5
Tiger Tail using the CB-404
pointed round.
Using
the CB-404 pointed round, form flower petals with two coats of SC-3 Wine About It. Leaves are two coats of SC-8 Just Froggy.
Using
the CB-110 liner, outline and
detail with SC-15 Tuxedo as
shown.

Apply
two coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta Pottery
Coat to canister and lid with CB-618 soft
fan. Scrunch up some plastic wrap
and apply AC-302 Wax Resist to
lid, rim, handles and base.

- Using
the CB-618 soft fan, apply three coats of S-2564
Sun Yellow to canister and lid. While the third coat is still wet,
spritz on thinned SC-34 Down to Earth.
For an interesting effect, spray water over the Down to Earth in some areas.
- Using
a pencil and Mylar carbon, trace on design.
- Using
the CB-406 pointed round, apply
two coats of SC-31 The Blues to
the coffee cup. Using the CB-604
soft fan, brush on the blue background area, shading the outer edge with SC-58
501 Blues.
- Using
the CB-604 soft fan wherever possible to avoid brushstrokes, apply two coats
of SC-3 Wine About It on the
table and the middle background. Use
SC-27 Sour Apple, two coats for the last section of background, shade
with SC-26 Green Thumb.
Thin
SC-25 Crackerjack and apply two
coats to the inside of the cup, using the CB-406 pointed round.
Using
the CB-408 pointed round, apply
two coats of SC-42 Butter Me Up
shaded with SC-27 Sour Apple to the napkin under the cup.
Using
a stylist or a pen, sgraffito out the steam lines, while the paint is still
damp.
Using
the CB-110 liner, outline
everything with SC-15 Tuxedo.

Using
the CB-604 soft fan, apply two
coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta Pottery
Coat to bottles.
Apply
one coat of AC-302 Wax Resist to
lower edge of bottles use CB-404
pointed round. Scrunch up some plastic
wrap and pounce. apply AC-302 Wax Resist onto handles.
Brush
on three coats of S-2564 Sun Yellow
using CB-604 soft fan to the largest and the smallest bottle. Apply three
coats of S-2566 Almond to the
third tallest bottle. Mix equal amounts of S-2591
New Leaf with S-2564 Sun Yellow
apply three coats to the second largest bottle. The fourth bottle has
three coats of S-2590 Intense Yellow.
Thin
SC-34 Down to Earth like water
and spritz on bottles immediately after brushing on the last coat of glaze.
Using
the CB-604 soft fan, apply one coat of thinned SC-27
Sour Apple and SC-5 Tiger Tail
randomly to bottles glazed with Almond and Sun Yellow.
Draw
on design. For leaves, load CB-404 pointed round with SC-39
Army Surplus and Tip in SC-63
Popeye’s Favorite, stroke in leaves, applying two coats. For olives,
use same brush and load in SC-15
Tuxedo and tip brush with SC-71
Purple-licious, applying
one
coat.
Using
the CB-110 liner, outline leaves
and stems with SC-15 Tuxedo.

- Using
the CB-618 soft fan, apply two
coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta
Pottery Coat to
the plates.

- Apply
three coats of S-2564 Sun Yellow
using the CB-618 soft fan onto both plates.

- While
the third coat is still wet on the plates, spray very diluted SC-34
Down To Earth onto the wet glaze. Use
a small spritzer water bottle.

- When
dry, draw wavy lines on plates. Using a CB-404
pointed round, apply two coats of SC-62
Spunky Punkin to the small plate and two coats of SC-52 Toad-ily Green to the large plate.

- Apply
two coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta
Pottery
Coat using CB-618 soft fan.

- Apply
three coats of S-2564 Sun Yellow
to the center of the plates and bowls.

- On
the rim of the bowls, apply three coats of S-2590
Intense Yellow using the CB-618 soft fan.

- On
the rim of the plates, mix S-2591 New
Leaf with S-2564 Sun Yellow
(1:1 for the salad plate and 1:3 for the dinner plate). Apply three coats of
this mixture using the CB-618 soft fan.

- Thin
SC-34 Down To Earth like water
and spray on plates and bowls to distress.

- Draw
on design. For leaves, load CB-404 pointed round with SC-52 Toad-ily Green and tip in SC-63 Popeye’s Favorite, stroke in leaves, applying two coats. For
olives, use same brush and load in SC-15
Tuxedo and tip brush with SC-71
Purple-licious, applying one coat.

leaves and stems with SC-15 Tuxedo
using CB-110 liner.

- Apply
two coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta
Pottery
Coat
using CB-618 soft fan.

- Apply
three coats of S-2564 Sun Yellow
to the bottom section of vase.

- On
the top half of the flared section, apply three coats of S-2590 Intense Yellow using the CB-618 soft fan.

- Mix
equal amounts of S-2591 New Leaf
with S-2564 Sun Yellow apply three coats to bottom half of the flared
section.

- On
the top & center rims of the vase, apply three coats of SC-62
Spunky Punkin.

- Thin
SC-34 Down To Earth like water
and spray on vase to distress.

- Draw
on design. For leaves, load CB-404 pointed round with SC-52 Toad-ily Green and tip in SC-63 Popeye’s Favorite, stroke in leaves, applying two coats. For
olives, use same brush and load in SC-15
Tuxedo and tip brush with SC-71
Purple-licious, applying one coat.

Two handled Vase 7 1/4" t
Using
the CB-604 soft fan, apply two
coats of PC-501 Terra Cotta Pottery
Coat
to bottles.
Apply
one coat of AC-302 Wax Resist to
lower edge of bottles use CB-404
pointed round. Scrunch up some plastic
wrap and pounce. apply AC-302 Wax Resist onto handles.
Brush
on three coats of stroke & coat colors
of your choice.
