Written Fairy Wing Instructions.

- Print out both right and left wing patterns. Tape the
patterns such that point K on both sides join together to form one
continuous line beginning at point A and ending at point U.
- Lay 16 guage copper wire on the pattern. Use your
fingers and needle nose pliers where necessary to bend the wire to follow
the pattern. At point A and U cut the wire.
- Match up points T and B as indicated on the pattern.
Wrap 1-2 inches of 20 guage copper wire several times around the two sides
of the wire at the point T and B junction.
- To reinforce the wings and to add decorative elements
to the wings, join a piece of copper wire to the wing frame between point K
and J. If desired, curl or kink the added copper wire 1-2 inches from the
wing frame and string a bead on the 20 guage wire. The kink or curl should
keep the bead from sliding down to the frame. Kink the wire on the other end
of the bead and wrap the wire around the wing frame at point I. From point
I, adding beads where desired join off the 20 guage wire on the wing frame
between point K and J several inches separated from the original join on
point of the 20 guage copper wire. (See the instructions in red on the
pattern for 20 guage copper wire placement and further illustration)
- Continue to add 20 guauge wire and beads where
desired or where indicated to decorate and reinforce the wing frame.
- The two pieces of copper wire formed from point A to B
and point T to U will create the section to add the wings to the fairy.
Carefully twist the two wires together and bend the twisted wires from the
B-T point towards the bend at point K. This should form a clip to hold the
wings into the fairy.
- Insert the end of this clip into a ¼” hole created in
the back of the fairy.
